Role: Software Developer – Production Engineering Watson Orders

Job Type: Full-Time

Locations: USA (Multiple States) 

Projected Salary:  Min $111,000 per year - Max $251,000 per year

Required Technical and Professional Expertise: 

• Expecting 5+ Years of Linux experience in configuring, supporting, and optimizing projects. 
• Candidate has 2+ Years of experience in cloud architecting, deploying, and supporting edge k8s environments preferred.
• 2+ years of experience in software designing and supporting distributed systems for applying for this role.
• Having 2+ years of experience in one or more languages such as Java, Python, and Go. 
• Candidate has the ability to debug, optimize, and write scalable code based on requirements.

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

• Having experience in implementing telemetry frameworks and infrastructure tools. 
• Experience designing and implementing infrastructure as code pipelines for multiple projects. 
• The candidate has familiar with the handling of AWS DevOps roles including VPCs, S3, and Terraform.
• Familiarity with running distributed Machine Learning (ML) workloads in cluster-orchestrated environments.
• Expecting 2+ Years PubSub experience in SQS, Kafka, and MQTT.

IBM Software Engineer - Job Roles & Responsibilities

• IBM is currently looking for a highly skilled Senior Software developer for Production Engineering.
• Software Developer will be ready to ensure the performance and reliability of AI & ML driven operations like Edge Kubernetes clusters, network services, voice agent microservices, and storage layers.
• Work with Watson Orders development team environment and embedded SRE model to help define & implement key metrics for reliability, uptime, and performance. 

• Developing deep services through distributed tracing, visualization, metric collection, and reporting via Open Telemetry, Prometheus, and related tooling.
• The candidate has the ability to implement stability and performance optimizations in Python Programs. 
• Ready to participate in the SLIs, SLOs, and error budgets for production and infrastructure services.
• A skilled software developer will design, develop and maintain CI\\CD pipelines for integration and edge Kubernetes clusters.
